On Sunday Kristin and I went to the
Morton Arboretum
to check out some of the fall colors. I was able to get some really
nice shots with my new camera, although it was raining on and off much
of the time. Check out the photos over at

wow, haven't posted in awhile. life's been a bit crazy.
various family things and my place got robbed. so the last couple
of weeks have been a bit stressful.
on the positive front, I went to the North American Reptile Breeder's
Conference in Tinley Park, IL on Saturday with Kristin and finally got
an aquatic turtle. been researching it and prepping for it for
awhile. my condo is a bit small for something furry that needs
exercise (a dog or cat) and fish are a bit boring to me, so I decided
on a turtle. I like snakes too and there were a bunch of cool ones at
the show, but I'll have to save that for when I have a bit more room. I
actually really liked the bearded dragons as well, they seem like a
cool pet. Kristin had one crawl up and chill out on her shoulder
for about 15 minutes, just kinda taking everything in. very calm
and didn't mind being petted at all. we talked to the breeders
and they handle them a lot from when they are babies, which makes a big
difference.
I'll try to get some pictures of the turtle up soon, but I have to
replace my camera as it was one of the things taken from my
place. I was wanting something newer anyway, so I guess now I
have a good excuse.
